“I have an interest in phenomenological research and DEEPLY understanding MORE ABOUT people’s lived experiences."

How people navigate difficult experiences in different contexts and relational circumstances that can be challenging to their psychological wellbeing, has been my interest over the years. My doctoral dissertation explored the lived experiences of Palliative Care Physicians’ grief experiences over patient deaths in the hospice context.

Personally, I have lived experience in what it takes to grow and navigate in different environments having lived and worked in Finland and New York; studied, worked and raised a family in London and Switzerland. These experiences have made me more passionate about living life more authentically and being brave to shape one’s life to a more meaningful one.

Through all my various professional activities I drive to reduce the stigma around mental health difficulties. Particularly, I thrive to promote the understanding of mental health challenges and human distress often being understandable responses to abnormal circumstances. Furthermore, I commit to supporting and creating more resilient individuals, more understanding societies, leading to more sustainable communities.
